The "BNAGIT" special project of Stemnews.am features candid conversations with advanced young scientists in natural sciences who have achieved significant results in Armenia and/or internationally and are determined to make a breakthrough in the field of natural sciences in the Republic of Armenia. This series of articles tells the stories of talented young people studying in various branches of natural sciences - from their first scientific interests to international achievements and grand future goals. They talk about science, homeland, and their vision, inspiring the new generation. The special project aims to show that a natural scientist can be modern, interesting and successful, to stimulate young people's interest in natural sciences, as well as to reveal the natural science potential of the Republic of Armenia.

The Power of Physics: A Young Physicist's Story
The 53rd International Physics Olympiad was held in person in Tokyo, Japan from July 10-17, 2023, with participants from more than 80 countries. The Armenian team, which included 5 students, won 1 silver and 4 bronze medals. Hovsep Karapetyan, a 12th-grade student at the National Polytechnic University of Armenia (NPUA) high school, who is now studying in the Yerevan State University's 2nd coursework, won the silver medal.
