Scientists Have Discovered a Massive Underground Freshwater Reserve in the Amazon

Brazilian scientists have discovered a massive underground freshwater reserve beneath the Amazon, with a volume exceeding 150 quadrillion liters (approximately 162,500 cubic kilometers). This basin, known in scientific circles as the Greater Amazonian Aquifer System (Sistema Aquífero Grande Amazônia - SAGA), is considered one of the largest underground freshwater reserves ever discovered on the planet.
