Kazakhstan Discusses Cooperation with Firebird AI and NVIDIA

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Nico Caprez, Vice President of Global AI Infrastructure Growth at NVIDIA, as well as Razmig Hovaghimian and Alexander Yesayan, co-founders of Firebird AI, reports the official website of the President of Kazakhstan.
During the discussions, the parties explored opportunities for cooperation in the fields of designing, building, and operating artificial intelligence infrastructures.
Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan aims to become a fully digitized country within the next three years. According to him, the launch of supercomputing clusters based on NVIDIA technologies is a crucial step toward achieving this goal and strengthening the country's technological sovereignty.
He also touched upon the "Data Center Valley" strategic project planned in the city of Ekibastuz, which aims to create a powerful computing infrastructure for investors with conditions of affordable electricity, telecommunications, and tax incentives.
It should also be noted that the possibility of establishing a supercomputer center with a capacity of about 250 megawatts was discussed in Kazakhstan.
Representatives of NVIDIA and Firebird AI, in turn, presented information about a similar project being implemented in Armenia.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to explore opportunities for cooperation in the development of the artificial intelligence ecosystem.
As a reminder, the Firebird AI company has already started the construction of a supercomputer center in Armenia, which, following its two phases, is planned to have an infrastructure equipped with around 50,000 NVIDIA GPUs.
