Armenia Becomes a Regional AI Supercomputing Center: Final Phase of the Firebird AI Mega-Project Launches

The largest artificial intelligence infrastructure project in Armenia is entering its final stage of implementation. At the Firebird AI data center, the first phase of construction and equipment installation is already nearing completion.

Today, Armenia's Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, along with tech community representatives and journalists, visited the complex under construction for the first time to get acquainted with the ongoing work on-site. Alexander Yesayan, co-founder and director of Firebird AI, informed the attendees that the installation of GPUs will begin in just a matter of days.

During the first phase of the artificial intelligence factory, which is being built on a total area of 200,000 square meters near Hrazdan, more than 6,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs will be deployed. Operating at a total capacity of 18 megawatts, these will provide up to 110.6 exaflops of computing power. Thanks to these metrics, it will become the largest AI data center in the region.

At Firebird, they are confident that this infrastructure will play a crucial role in the development of scientific research, engineering modeling, robotics, biomedical technologies, and new artificial intelligence solutions. The company is already preparing for the launch of the project's second phase.
